| October 9th, 2008: Students visit the Folklore House, |
| One of the weekly activities for its students, CALES has arranged for visiting the Folklore house in Sana’a. It is a cultural, nonprofit NGO. It is also a small-scale museum that conducts researches and studies, collects and documents Yemens Spiritual heritage and makes analyses according to methodical and scientific standards. The house was founded on April 10th 2004 coinciding with Safar 29, 1425 with license No.23 issued by the Ministry of Culture.
Students viewed the traditional life customs in all fields including agriculture, religious and social occasions. They have perceived the traditional beliefs concerned with sorcery, dreams, and sacred shrines of good people. In addition to, material heritage like customs, ornaments, preening methods, skin henna drawings, tattoos, folkloric games and traditional paintings. |  |
